Christmas Trees!

My family has a tradition to go out and cut our tree down in the forest, and it has to be my most favorite tradition. I love it! "This tree is a symbol of the spirit of the North family Christmas!" So here are a few pictures of my favorite adventure of the year!

Thanksgiving

Well, Thanksgiving has come and gone way too fast! I cannot believe it! Here are just a few pictures of our exciting day. We went to my aunt Susan's house in Lehi with the rest of my mom's family. It would not be a Watson family party with out a ton of people shoved into one house! Gotta love it!

Quirks

Quirks
Here are the rules:
1. Link the person who tagged you.
2. Mention rules on your blog.
3. Tell about 6 quirks of yours.
4. Tag 6 fellow bloggers to do the same.
5. Leave a comment to let them know.

Here are some of mine...

1. I am OCD about organizing! Everything has a place, and if it is not in that place it drives me nuts!

2. I HATE people touching my pillows! That means everyone! No exceptions! They are mine and no one else is allowed to use or even touch them! It makes me crazy!

3. I make a plan to plan! I just like to be prepared with a plan.

4. I am like Stevie, I really hate to call people that I don't know. When I worked at the bank, I would always make Janet call everyone for me. It is just so awkward. I also hate when people call me on my cell phone and I don't know the number, so I don't answer it. If they want to talk to me, they can leave a message.

5. I have to make my bed. As soon as I wake up in the morning, I get up and make my bed. If not it drives me crazy, and I will worry about it all day.

6. I have to set my alarm to go off before I want to wake up because I have to push the snooze button at least twice. I don't get out of bed until I have hit the button twice.

Pumpkin Carving

We had a pumpkin carving project at our house on Sunday, and these are the finished products. I did not get a picture of Pat and Stevie's pumpkin, but they all turned out really cute.

I really like mine the best!

What a Week!

It has been quite the week! I took the week off originally to go to my aunt Malynda's to help her out, however, it turned out a lot more adventurous than that! I went to Malynda's from Monday until Wednesday, and during that time we had one of our best horses die. It was really hard because it was so sudden and because we have had him forever, and not to mention it was 3 days before the deer hunt, and he was our packer! Luckily I was able to round up some replacements, but it was sad. Thursday I went fishing with my dad and I doubled my life time fish catching score by catching 2 more! It was such a beautiful day out on Strawberry, and we had a ton of fun!
Friday my aunt Jenn came up and we all made new Christmas Stockings. It was a lot of fun, but now I am all crafted out. I will not be doing that for awhile! But every one's turned out really cute! These are just two of our stockings. (Mine is the top "Wrangler"one, and Emily's is the bottom one.) Also, I was able to finally get my baby horse to Heber! I am so excited to be able to start working with her!

Saturday was the day I had been waiting for all year... the opening day of the deer hunt! We woke up early and loaded the horses and took off for our hunting spot. When we got there, I unloaded our horses, and my brother-in-law noticed that my horse had a huge cut above her eye. She definitely needed stitches, so my dad and I loaded the horses back up to head home, and we sent TJ and Pat up the mountain to find some deer. When we got home, I took my horse to the vet and got her all stitched up, so now I am just left with a hefty vet bill! You have got to love animals! Luckily it was early enough that my dad and I were able to go back out and pick up Pat and TJ and hunt a bit, but we did not get anything. Hopefully it works out to go out again this weekend.

And finally Sunday came and we had to do family pictures. So here are just a few random shots while we were standing around waiting for grandpa to take the others!

Man Eating Spider!

My aunt Malynda sent me this picture yesterday, they were out riding around their neighborhood in Orem and this massive spider ran across the road, so they caught it. I would have just run it over with the car, but no, the Threet's have to have interesting pets! It's sick!

Kaydee Rose

All I ever blog about is Kaydee or my horse, but Kaydee is just so funny I can't help it! Yesterday I went to Malynda's to help her out for the day, and Emily and I were lucky enough to be able to watch Kaydee for the afternoon. Well I needed to run to the bank and visit some people that I used to work with, so with Kaydee in tow we went visiting. She was crazy! But she is so stinkin' cute, so who really cares? Well we were getting ready to leave so Emily took Kaydee to the car, but I took a bit too long saying goodbye, so Emily had to entertain her! Ha ha! These pictures kill me, I LOVE the last one!

Sunday Night Elk Spotting!

Last night, my dad wanted to find some elk. Of course I was all for it, so my dad, me, and Emily loaded up into my 4 Runner and headed off! We ventured out to Strawberry in search of elk, and oh man did we find them! We sat out there for over an hour just listening to them bugel back and forth to each other. We saw 9 bulls, and heard many more, it is just so thick in there it is difficult to see them, but we sure heard them! It is so amazing to see so many of these awesome animals in one place! These are just a few picutres of our adventure. (But none of the elk because they were still so far away, we had to use the spotting scope to see them clearly.) It was so pretty up where we were!

Cascade Springs

Steph, Kellie and I decided to meet up and have a little picnic up at Cascade Springs on Wednesday night. It was really fun to be able to all get together, even if it was just for a little bit, and be able to walk around and enjoy the beautiful fall weather. As you can tell in the picutres Maddie HATED me! But I still think she is cute! I am glad that I have such awesome friends!Steph, Kellie, Maddie, Me & Buzz

Labor Day

Our family has a tradition of meeting in the canyon every Labor Day for a good old "camping breakfast." Usually we are able to ejnoy the fresh fall weather, but this year was a little different. We froze our butts off but we lived through the near freezing conditions! And I am glad to report that breakfast was so good! At least it was worth it!
